Hot and horrible any chance of a nice frosty morning, even the cacti are complaining.it was off the thermometer in the greenhoue just after lunch. +50c. I sat down last night and run a total minus rainfall average for Newhall since 2002 when every thing stated to dry up a little we are 1378.9 mm below the average annual rainfall far the 4 years to date and this year is so far the lowest total I have recorded here in Newhall for the 8 months of the year. Four months to go and it looks like the record low will fall unless the heavens open for the next four and a half months. What crazy weather.

There are holes in the sky

Where the rain gets in

But they are ever so small

That is why rain is thin

What a day! We haven't had a cloud in the sky for 48 hours and the temp soared to 28C this afternoon. The winds have been light and variable, but just cool enough to provide an absolutely perfect day. For me, the weather does not get any better than this, except, maybe, in a gale, at the sea's edge.

:whistling: Spent the day in Bournemouth, totally perfect day! Not a cloud to be seen and very hot sunshine..........cooled off in the sea.

Back in Swindon it's been the same story, hot and sunny although as Andy Bown (down the road) said, it was cloudy/misty to start with until that burnt away.Temp 30C.

Still wonderful out. Has anyone else noticed that it is one of those rare, still, evenings; you walk, say, through the woods and the heat lies in patches; you walk through slightly warmer, then slightly cooler areas. It just feels lovely to do it.
