Sunny this morning after a heavy shower at 8.00. Clouded over after lunchtime with some more lighter showers and a rumble of thunder at 3.27. Now cloudy and dry but more rain on the way I think. 21.3C

Sunshine and showers from lovely big cumulus clouds at the moment. A moderate South-Westerly, force 3, gusting force 5 in the showers. Very hot sunshine between them. No pileus topping the cumulus towers, as always Quite a change from most of the summer.

It's pouring with rain here and looks like it's going to last for some time.

The radar shows a string of rain running all the way from Camborne / Redruth in Cornwall

to quite close to Oxford area.
