The bbc underestimated the wind speeds for today when I looked at yesterday`s forcast,they just said breezy and very wet,it`s been the other way around here

s.w gales,we did have rain 1st half of the morning,then it`s been dry.

Wind completely droped off now.

Report for Saturday 2nd September 2006, Readings taken at 00:00.

After an overcast but dry start heavy rain quickly moved in after midday. This was accompanied by strong winds touching gale force at times. The evening was then mostly cloudy and dry with occasional sunny spells, though the wind remained strong. Temperatures were above average for the time of year, but it felt cool in the wind.
