A taste of late summer today as the temperature reached a high of 21.7C. Mostly sunny all day too but clouding over now.

Thick hill fog almost all day apart from a short spell between 1500 and 1645 when it thinned enough to allow a few sunny intervals. By 1700 it was back to thick fog again.

Intermittant drizzle this morning to accompany the fog but it was dry this afternoon.

Remarkably mild despite the fog, everything dripping with water and with an air of slow, mouldering decay as the vegetation begins to die back and the leaves shrivel on the trees.
