A much more seasonal max of 13c today, the lowest max since 30th April!

A chilly, sunny start turned into a morning of mixed fog/low cloud and hazy sunny spells. Cloudy since midday with some showery rain and a freshening SE wind. 12c now.

Fog in the valleys this morning which lifted into low cloud after about 1030, it didn't prevent sunny intervals developing and giving the sunniest day since the 12th, Paradoxically it was also the coolest day of the month so far with a max' of 11.3c after a min' last night of 7.6c.

The afternoon was dry and cloudy with no sign of rain despite every forecast saying it's on its way.

Believe it or not, a brief thunderstorm has just whisked over North London and out into Hertfordshire.Not predictable on any radar, as far as i could tell. Mostly forked lightning and moderately heavy rain. For a moment there, i thought it was still summer!
