Light snow started to fall at 2.55pm at Clifton just south of Penrith, Cumbria. Altitude 210m, temp is 0c and no wind. Settling on all surfaces.I'll expect the rain in about 10 mins!! Above 300m there has been a good covering since Saturday night.

Been up to Brecon today, large accumulations of now above 600m, notably:

Black Mountains

Black Mountain

Pen-Y-Fan

Pen-y-fan must have had a good 4-5 inches on the top (850m or so)

Down here there has been a light dusting all day, mainly on the hill opposite me. Drove back with blizzards all around over Hirwaun, and I imagine driving is extremley hazardous when you get caught in one.

Currently dry, overcast, and very cold, dropping to around 2c now.

Hi Tim.Depends on where you live.I live in the northern valleys and so does du snow.We are around 200m or maybe more.On the south coast it is around sea level to 50m and further up the valleys its about 250-300m.
