likely to be some over the weekend, snow that is.

850-1000mb thickness is below the value needed for snow and the zero C isotherm is below 3000ft, also the ppn charts have some ppn over the Cairngorms area.

You really need to pay for the Net Wx Extra charts!

Examples coming up

here with 4 examples about possible snow falling from the list of Extra charts, there are lots more!

hello Paul, you have my address for the cheque!!

Precious snow! It makes me wish it was winter again. Oh well, in less than a month the nights will start getting shorter and the countdown will begin again!

A slight dusting on the tops, nothing that would boost the snow patchs.

and parts of the Alps are doing quite well over the past couple of days.

The main street in Wengen yesterday, 4,500ft, the report gives 10cm of snow with over 30cm fresh snow higher up.

Perfect! Look at her smiley face!

This picture perfectly represents how happy snow makes people.

Ciste Fairway on CairnGorm is continuing to fill in and is just about skiable despite no base, t-bars still on the Tow but it looks like it will be milder tonight, shame this couldnt persist for another 3 days, lift served snowsports for the start of June, that will be the result of global warming then! :)

These photos come from winterhighland and i hope they dont mind me posting some of the snow patchs here. Taken from the 25 th of may onwards. Truly amazing photos, without hill walkers we would never get to see these great photos.

It really goes to show how much snow really falls. LOADS :unknw:

Fresh snow in the Ptarmigan Bowl upwards on CairnGorm Mountain this morning, hoping someone may get pics to me later as both webcams are down sadly.
