The morning was cloudy but, with an increasing breeze from the WSW, the cloud began to break up by midday. Sunny spells through the afternoon and now it's mostly sunny with scattered cumulus and altocumulus. Very warm at 23c max, less humid than recently due to the breeze.

The forecast heavy showers certainly missed here, I recorded 0.2 mm this morning from a light shower during the early hours and a trace at 1800 from a couple of insignificant showers during the middle of the afternoon, I notice the station just to the south of Buxton had 3mm.

A cloudy morning with just a few glimpes of sunshine but after the light showers during mid-afternoon it became generally brighter with sunny intervals and 3-6 oktas cumulus.

Max' temp# today was 19.9c after an overnight min' of 14.6c, the warmest night of the year so far.

Highest gust was 25 mph W at 1300 g.m.t.

Vis' at 1800 g.m.t was 15 miles and there as 4 oktas cumulus and cirrus with sunny intervals.

Mean wind speed 12 mph W.

Turning quite cool tonight with some gusty wind blowing - info after yesterday's downpours when In Bangor, the University of Wales Botanic Gardens at Treborth recorded the heaviest shower in 25 years of record keeping: 19.5mm in 15 minutes, quite impressive! I would think that here on the mountains would of had more than that. Some low cloud moving in now.
