These were taken last week on a short visit to Scotland. The first one is sunset over Oban Bay and the other 2 were taken last Tuesday at Taymouth, near Aberfeldy. The weather was glorious both days and was at least 17C by our car thermometer.

Aye, it certainly is sir, but you're going to have to resize them (see below) ;) And now your lovely thread can be used for all the October entries...

Now, it takes a lot of time and patience to sort this out every month, and more so with the new categories. PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN POSTING YOUR ENTRIES. Think about the SIZE, think about the number of entries for each category, and please use your common sense about which category a photo comfortably fits into. Max of 3 weather and 3 non-weather.

So, as usual, any photos can be submitted. These will then be sifted into weather-related and non-weather retaled before voting. The weather related photo that wins the vote will be the photo for October in the 2009 netweather.tv calendar.

    Remember:

Entries will NOT be accepted if they're sized above 1024 x 768.

    So please resize.

Here's a free resizing programme - it really couldn't be easier:

    Or for Macs:

    Happy snapping

This is for the non weather section (taken with my mobile phone), however it was made possible by the weather this morning, namely very dense fog leaving a lot of water droplets that showed up large cobwebs :) . This wasn't the largest cobweb that I saw, but the other picture didn't come out well at all!

    Hi John,

Yes, they are both from the top of Catbells, one looking over Keswick and the other looking towards the Newlands Valley.

Looking at doing Grizedale Pike next, I enjoyed my first climb :D

Yes Grisedale is not a difficult one, its main problem to me is that you can see the damn thing stretching ahead of you from quite early on. Once on the top there are about 3 options on which way to come back down, so not a bad walk altogether.

I've not posted any for a long time, so here's some. I'm not sure what category they'd go in. Probably none weather. But was a nice sunny morning.
