Bit of a surprise here! Sustained winds of 45.6mph gusting to 50.1mph. Valentia is showing winds up to 32mph with Shannon only 15mph. Squally rain as well.

We have had almost 50ml of rain over the past 2 days.

Have you had any flooding?

No major road flooding at present. Grounds are saturated and rivers have flooded but luckily the flood plains are just that so there are lots of lakes and 'turlochs' everywhere :whistling:

In case you don't know what a turloch is: http://www.tcd.ie/Botany/turloughs/

Apologies for going slightly off topic :)

LOL cookie :whistling: Wind still gusting here but not as bad. Rain still down. It seems that all the rain from the Atlantic over the past few weeks has hit land just where I am.

GFS is predicting between 35 - 45 average wind speeds so Gusts between say 55 to 75 mph possible depending on the terrian.
