Got quite chilly again last night with a ground frost, minimum 0.7c, grass minimum -3.0c. The 24 hour minimum air temperature was slightly lower at -0.2c. The early morning saw a SW wind and cloud began increase and the temperature lifted to 4.5c by 09:00hrs reading time. The morning started dry, but mainly light rain set in around 11:00hrs and continued for much of the afternoon, the wind was strong from the SW. The SW wind increased further to gale force during the evening with further rain. Maximum temperature 12.9c. Rain 5mm.

I always know it's a real gale when I can hear the wind roaring in the trees through the triple glazing and last night was no exception. I awoke several times during the night to hear the house creaking and groaning and the slates clattering up and down on the roof ( thankfully they stayed on the roof ).

The heavy rain during yesterday evening eventually cleared around midnight to leave a mainly dry night with broken cloud and a few light showers. The wind increased steadily during the evening and peaked during the early hours with a mean speed of 52 mph.

Hi all

An extremely gusty day and quite nippy out of the sun and not unlike yesterday Been mostly sunny all day but the cloud rolled in around 4pm and suddenly the wind dropped-how strange! The weather never ceases to amaze me. A very brief and light shower at around 6.30pm-typical as i had just spent 3 and a half hours cleaning the car inside and out-sods law!
