These images are taken from the west coast of the isle of lewis. these beaches are actually famous for their color and the cleanness. sadly didn't get chance to get properly down to the beaches but hopefully this gives you an idea of what they look like.

How do I get there? flights from down south? a nice remote cottage, that scenery and a couple of bottles of malt would sort me out!!

I think countryfile was there a couple of weeks ago. The sand looked so inviting. Do the shallows ever get warm enough for a paddle?
