A dry and bright start to the day with a light wind. The morning and afternoon was very warm and humid with a good deal of cloud, but a few breaks did allow for some intermittent sunshine. Top temperature 24.8c, maximum wind gust 18.1mph, ENE.

Thick fog to start the day as stratus rolled in from the North Sea during the early hours. The fog lifted shortly before 0900 g.m.t to leave a warm and bright but often cloudy day with large amounts of stcu for much of the time. The low cloud tended to break and disperse by late afternoon allowing some longer sunny spells but by this time there was a good cover of cirrus and cirrostratus so any sunshine was rather hazy.
