After another warm night, the day dawned dry and sunny. Good sunny periods continued through the morning and in to the afternoon and it became hot. Cloud increased through the afternoon to produce some gusty winds and thundery spots of rain and but not enough to leave a trace here. The late afternoon and in to the evening continued hot with further sunny spells. Top temperature 27.3c, maximum wind gust 35mph from the ESE.

Lake District - near Keswick

Cloudy for most of the day untill late afternoon, maximum temp of 20.2c virtually no wind and has felt very pleasent, no climbing today, preparing for tomorrow around Ullswater area.

Cloud above Great Dodd, Clough Head and Blencathra which I can see from my verandah where I am typing this, although skiddaw looks to have a mantle of cloud at present, sunshine just breaking through again hopefully will burn back this cloud to give one of those magical lakeland days tomorrow

Clear and fresher early night, then low cloud late night until late morning. Sunny intervals from 10am, turned to decent sunny periods by lunchtime, then convective cloud built mid afternoon, before it turned mainly sunny again teatime!

Warm and rather humid on the whole, even briefly very warm 13-1400, but the sea breeze from NNW exerted an influence from 1400 when the temperature was mainly 20-22c the rest of the afternoon.
