Low cloud and mist much of last night, clear skies late evening had made for a refreshingly cool night though.

Cloudy, rather misty start, then sunny periods after 0900. Warm, maxed at 1400 when a refreshing NW sea breeze kicked in and lowered temperatures by 1-2 degrees for the rest of the afternoon. The patches of small Cumulus were swept away by the breeze so that since 1500 it has been a case of unbroken bright warm sunshine.

Min: 10.4c @ 0030.

Max: 23.9c @ 1400.

Rain yesterday: Nil.

Rain since 10am: Nil.

Currently: 19.5c, brilliantly sunny and the breeze has now dropped off again.

Pressure: 1018 mbar, steady around this level all day.

A clear, calm and very warm start. Some high cloud moved in to the area around the reading time, this cleared later to allow long sunny periods. Hot again, the hottest day of the year so far with the maximum temperature reaching near 29c by late afternoon. The wind was mostly very light easterly.

Lake District - near Keswick

Early morning mist then warm and sunny all day

On and around Place Fell next to Ullswater all day one of those magical glorious lakeland days very warm not a breath of wind very little haze
