Tornado over SW Anglesey coastline 13/8/2008

I spotted this on the way in to the Anglesey Agricultural Show today - 13/8/2008 between 09:43 and 09:51 BST. I stopped to take a series of photos, and dozens of others took me lead and did the same!

The parent cell (image about 130 degrees across), about 5 minutes before the funnel appeared (two further incipient funnels were visible briefly).

the cell rotating on the panoramic shot.

I stopped the car off the line of traffic queuing to go into the show. Stewards looked on with disdain. I told them I was eccentric, which seemed to please them. When I went up to them and pointed out what I was looking at, they were mightily impressed. Job done!

Absolutely. 'Tornado' gets some attention, which is sadly required in order to get the media interested (which worked - appearing in the Daily Post tomorrow morning) :lol:
