Oh boy, where did Scotland go?

airpressure.png

Fully expect some weather warnings from Meto etc to follow soon. Some serious winds on the way if this develops the way the models have progged it the last few days. Eeek!

Personally be interested on NW's forecasters' thoughts on this developing low. Even ITV weather, which I rarely watch, seemed quite animated

That's because it is due to effect scotland and most people who are posting tonight are from the uk. I agree it may be quite windy up there although I have seen worse given the time of year. Where I live in the we should have high pressure ridging over us why your getting battered lol. Good luck though and stay safe...

Scotland is in the UK!

Agree 100%. There are easily 100mph gusts in this approaching system.

As we can see here, the BBC is also a bit confused. This is Friday's p.m. chart. Note that the strongest winds are thought to be a little bit near Lowestoft - not Stornaway

Winds of 80-90 mph. Might just put the washing out then

Incidentally, had to chortle at the warning, talks about 'trees being uprooted' erm what trees? :)
