time for tonights update and things are really starting to get my attention :D

first off taken from the main netweather UK weekend weather forecast

    Severe Weather warning:

There are two causes for concern at the moment, the deep area of low pressure is likely to bring strong winds and Gales for North Western parts of the UK for much of the weekend, however at this stage, gusts in excess of 75pmph seem likely early on Saturday morning. In addition to this some heavy rain is possible especially for NW Scotland, and with ground being very hard from the recent cold spell, this may cause some localised flooding problems. We are currently watching developments and weather alerts may well be issued if necessary over the course of the weekend.

    Saturday:

Very much a North West South East split to start the weekend, a very active looking weather front is pushing in off the Western coast of Scotland. This is likely to bring some cloud in the early morning for Ireland, Western and Central Scotland, North West England. Winds are likely to be strong for many Northern and Western areas exposed to South-westerly winds, coastal gales are possible, however for the Western Isles and NW Scotland, winds could gust in excess of 75mph.

Netweather forecasts aside, there's not much been mentioned about the wind lately, as the focus has been on the cold spell.

There are certainly some very tight isobars on today's Model output though

The wind is beginning to increase here, but there's nothing substantial just yet - it seems overnight and into tomorrow will bring the strongest gusts

    to my location.

Anyway, thanks for the updates guys, and stay safe :D
