Currently cloudy and gloomy here current temp 2.8c

This is only the second day in over 11 days where the temp has risen above 1c.

You certainly become acustomed to the cold weather so today feels more like 10c than 3c.

This milder weather will be a welcome relief for a lot of people

Well, I sent a photo to a friend in Suffolk last night and she'd not seen so much in a while.

It might freeze sometime in the night then,I hope it does for 2 reasons 13 consecutive air frost and to refreeze what lying snow is left.

1 out of 2 ain`t bad considering how much the temp went up in the night with cloud and a west wind at 2.6c.

Then cloud cleared at dawn,very very close to another air frost at 0.1c widespread ground frost,and still some frost left now in the shade at 3.6c clear and sunny.

The landscape is now green as snow has thawed quicker on the grass still a little left,but the frozen yard is still white over with very little thawing and it`s out of the wind like a sheltered hollow.

Chilly with thick fog and a temperature of 1.8c.

Overnight the temp' climbed to 2.7c and it was the first night since Dec' 28th with no air frost, the min' being 0.3c; there was a slight ground frost though with a grass min' of -0.1c.

Thin, patchy snow still lying but 50% cover was lost overnight.

Max of 1oC here today, already back down to Zero however, and dense fog all day. Visibility has risen above 100m all day and IMO has now reduced to elss than 50m even thicker.

It was a foggy morning, it lifted in some parts of town but in others it remained thick fog - very weird, very localised fog patches. It's set in here but for all I know it could be clear down the road, based on what I saw today. It's -1.0c now, going to be a cold one with freezing fog.

Feels quite warm here today despite it being only +4C and cloudy with thick stratus all day. Light winds. I can see a break in the St out over West Dorset heading towards us, so it looks like we'll get another air frost tonight - then some sharper ones to come on Friday and Saturday night as we pick up a drier continental feed.

Noticed that Wattisham has been in freezing fog all day!

Hey DaveJ, Wattisham being the main Ipswich weather recording site, I can confirm dense freezing fog all day of 100m below visibilty, they have 200m now but where I am its a lot thicker. No respite all day, and now a chilly -1oC

Yeah it seems to be thickening again, they've gone down to 100m on their latest ob and -2C!
