Snowing hard here. Only a couple of centimetres lying, in fact it looks to me, having just got up, as if it was raining earlier and has recently turned to snow.

Oh yes sammie! Heavy snow here at my work - 130m asl. Settling on cars and grass etc. - going to be a classic me thinks!

I'm not sure what my asl is but I'm in the Kings Buildings at U of E, the cars, roads, pavements buildings have a good layer now. This is the first winter in Edinburgh looks like it should be a good one.

Some moderate wet snow here at the moment, big flakes at times too. About 1cm covering on all surfaces, including roads. Snow line seems to be about 250m. Snowing in Oldham town centre but not sticking. A nice wintry scene up in the hills though. Temp is 0.9oC

Afternoon NL

it does look pretty bad looking to the East of me , the coast is around 10mile away , Seagulls have come further inland so it must be bad

Moderate wet snow here. It's trying to stick but the ground is too wet.

Been snowing here for the last couple of hours, preceeded by rain. The change to snow was almost instant - like someone had flicked a switch - shows just how marginal the conditions are for snow!

70 odd metres ASL here and only 20 miles from the Irish Sea so i would imagine that if the precip keeps going as it moves inland from me (roughly east) everyone should see at least some settling snow - even if its only a few kentimetres!

Wysi :)
