Lovely day here with a high of 24C, and even the gusty northerlies couldn't take too much off that. No clouds in the sky after 11AM either.

Nationwide high reported as 37C in Culverden, this is the third time so far this month we have seen 36C or above somewhere in the country.

Still a white frost on all surfaces, temp barely above freezing at 0.5 °C. Good to see the frosts back even though I'm going to have scrap the car in a while.

I see some of the notorious cold spots in south central England are still a couple of degrees below freezing.

;) Quite a rare occurence with a 100%, or I should say a 8/8 okta sky, of Cirrus allowing 'unbroken' hazy/lightbulb sunshine.

There was a good frost until an hour ago after a minimum of -1.2c and at present the temperature is 2.1c with humidity at 89%.

Could be a good day for haloes and sundogs.

Good to see the frosts back even though I'm going to have scrap the car in a while.

No need to do that is there Nick ;) !

Just missed an air frost last night, probably due to the breeze, with an air min' of 0.5c.

Today has been dry and cloudy with a veil of cirrostratus which has thickened slowly during the morning.

For those curious about Nick in SW France

Blimey, looking at those pictures Nick was right to be concerned! Hope he is okay though. He will be having Netweather withdrawal symptoms without his electric! :)

Sunny for most of the day in Exeter, but there was a heavy shower at lunchtime which contained some hail. All in all we're getting a lot of the bright showery stuff down here at the moment.
