Well im technically in the south West but granted im on the Brecon beacons and the snow hasn't stopped here since half 5 this morning very heavy this afternoon after a slight thaw

if you run the loop its coming this way...had two mammoth showers here so far, though its been snowing all day.mainly moderate to heavy..........just starting to get heavy again....the dollop on the radar shows its heading WEST

I don't know where the other bristolians are but they should all come to the University of the West of England as we're having such fun.

Yep, I'm only a couple of miles from UWE, could probably lob a snowball at you from here!

snow now melting in the sun. Not sure what the temp is, but cant be near 0c. I will say it again, its just not cold enough. The temps should start to drop a little now we are entering the afternoon, but if today was supposed to be the coldest the rest of week looks poor for snow cover. Once again Bristol seems to miss all the action. The snowfall on the radar seems to die away as it comes west, that band across the east will stick to the east and east midlands and head north.

Meanwhile in west Wales only a sprinkling last night, with further light snow flurries today, not amounting to anything. Not sure we will see much more tonight this far west?

Same here seems Carmarthenshire has been really lucky, Has the temp suddenly dropped because the flakes are more intense etc

I just got back from a job in Ilminster and can confirm it's snowy there. :)

Here's what it looked like when I set out, and here's a random shot in Ilminster.

Looking hopeful! PPN slowly creaping Westwards, looking good for anywhere just south of Bristol. Should get a bit more before the end of the day, perhaps an inch at best i'm thinking :)

Hi, we have had no snow at all, really depressing, am praying and hoping that we might see some later on, not holding my breath though lol

Are you sort of Plymouth-ish, then? Don't forget that the MetOffice has a flash severe weather warning out for South West and Wales for this afternoon and this evening. Plus advance warning for tomorrow. Plenty of time yet....don't despair.

Aunty Noggin.

Its pretty localised down here, we have had upwards of 3cm here, but just the otherside of the moor (on the southern side) have had nothing, not even rain.

Starting to snow again here tho, temps have dropped to -3.3C and the pressure is falling away... quite hopeful about this evening.

We've been having quite large snowflakes and almost blizzard conditions since 1pm and its intensified again. Nearly an inch on the grass but its not settling on the road and pavements (not treated). So it must be quite wet snow.

The temp is 0.5c so it just needs to get a little bit colder and then it will stick to everything!

BBC weather graphics are getting on my nerves. Keep showing the snow at around 8pm in S.Gloucs area and then it magically "Jumps" over to Cardiff and stays there all night!

Not fair! :)

do you meen we can have snow in cardiff then oh!i hope so for my grandchildren ,thanks.
