wow, that is cold, not recorded an air temperature that low for many years. From local data, January 2002 -11c.

There has been a light snowfall overnight giving just a sprinkling on top of the existing 7cm cover. The minimum air temperature dropped to -0.4c, minimum on the snow –2.0c. At observation, very icy and overcast with odd light snow flake.

There has been another moderate fall of snow during the early hours of this morning leaving an additional 4cm. Total snow depth 11cm. Minimum air temperature –1.5c, minimum on snow –5.9c. At observation, overcast with light snow. The day continued overcast, dull and cold with further outbreaks of light snow, but with a slow thaw this did not add to the existing cover. Top temperature 1.4c, top wind speed, 14mph, ENE.

It's only the 2nd coldest night of the year. Completely unexpected as it was cloudy first thing. Still -8.4º but sunny.

Light sleet, currently 0.7 deg C. Some wet snow in the early hours giving 1-2cm of extra covering, with some thunder around 6am.

A little at the mildish side today in Stockholm.

The day started with some moderate snowfall and 0°,

and now it has slowly faded away and the temperature outside is 1°.

It seems that these mild temps will continue until Sunday,

with temps no lower than -1° and daytime around 0°-2° depending on if you are inland or at the coast.

Next week seems to bring down maybe some colder air from the north with nighttime temps -10° to -5°

and daytime probably -4°c to -1°c, and the weather seems to become quite fair!
