Partly cloudy and as typically happens in a north-westerly here, bone dry too.

The Temperature is 7.2C after a low of 3.6C. Dewpoint is 1.6C so not really cold enough for anything wintry.

Woke up this morning at 8am to a frozen sprinkling of snow and abundant ice in the city centre.

Sunny, windy and cold now - hills still white-over. Currently 5/0ºC.

Currently 6.2c in Yeovil, with a dew point of -0.8c.

The temp and dew point were going in opposite directions since about 9am but the temp is now just starting to fall again.

It's gone very dark here and it looks like a great swathe of hefty showers coming from the west :)

... and as I'm about to press Add Reply, we have hail (and rain).

After heavy rain cleared in the early hours we had a clear start with a slight ground frost (min 2.1). Now partly cloudy and quite pleasant, with the temperature around 7 deg C and a light NW wind.

Just had a passing hail storm with intermixed snow flakes, temps still high at 7.0 DgC but dew point down to -0.7 Dgc! Whats the chances of something more substantial at sea level? :unknw: (slim to none?!!!)

Partly cloudy and as typically happens in a north-westerly.

Not quite a NW-ly, lol.

Wind has shifted to the south now along with the mid to lower clouds coming from the SW/S high anvil`s are coming from SW.

Had a few light soft hail showers this afternoon, along with a light snow shower which seemed to change direction as they were coming in from the west/SW but this low based snow shower came in from the south most unusual. :unknw:

Max 4.9c coldest march day for 2 years,when there was a NW-ly.

A wonderful bracing day so to speak here, very icy first thing with traces of wet snow on the ground, brief snow shower in the monring and more potent snow shower in Kendal around lunchtime, not heavy enough to cover the ground though. Took a walk after work and noticed some snow cover down to low levels in the lower Kentmere valley, the showers have been very hit an miss but where heavy they have brought snow cover to relatively low levels i.e. 100m+. Most notable aspects of the day, the brilliant clear skies courtesy of the polar air, it seems ages since we have such clear skies, plenty of sunshine to boot and the temperature dropped like a stone this evening, ground frost beginning to develop and I'm expecting quite a cold night possibly -3 degrees maybe -4 degrees and colder still in some of the more sheltered valleys close by. A lovely late winters day.

Predominatelly snow showers (but a little soft hail/hail) on and off most of today. The only one that really pitched was the one around 7am this morning. Showers now gathering to the west that could give us another covering here in upland Devon.

Currently -2c and falling, ice forming on any surface water. Patches of snow left from this morning in shaded areas so in spite of blue skies and sunshine this afternoon a real wintry feeling especially when the hills round the Firth are once again completely white again down to about 800 feet.
