Hi all,

As Paul said, we have had the mother of all chases today. As a beginner storm chaser I am totally blown away by what I have seen/experience today, to be literally running away from a tornado is something I will never forget top notch driving from both driers :) Also I had the first hand experience of hearing CG lightening hit the ground by my side of the car door as we were driving through the storm - it went pop right by the side of me. Then finally was treated to the most amazing lightening show I have ever seen near Childress, with Anvil Crawlers, CC lightening and CG lightening all going off at once. Today was probably the most heart stopping and amazing ever - and its only day 3!! The best thing about today is that I got to see this storm develop from a single cloud in the sky into the monster that it became over 9hours - and its still going!!

Off to bed now as its nearly midnight - I suspect I will be dreaming about today.

Tammy

Great to hear that news, it was a bit scary for us too, watching the radar blow up and realizing where you probably were. I say "probably" because that map we can see with the live feed sometimes develops a glitch and roams all over central Texas then fixes back on your location. Looking forward to the details and the pictures. Could be more action tomorrow.

:):)

words cannot describe what I have witnessed today..

We watched Supercells grow over North Texas PanHandle into mother ships...

Later followed one of them into Matador where it exploded into life.

The most amazing CG i HAVE EVER SEEN....The lightning kept increasing its intensity at an alarming rate..The sky was so evil looking.nothing like you get in the UK

We parked up in Paducah for a few minutes with the most incredible black sky i have ever witnessed...

I might have the town incorrect here....

I was about to embark when Paul.S who was in the other car put is foot down and shot the hell out of there..We quickly followed realising a Tornado was developing ...

I can not explain to you how scary this was....

As we fled the scene the wind RFD picked up big time...

The Tornado alarms went off with the visibility extremely poor...The scene was better than any movie you can imagine...

Truly a evil storm....

After leaving we would keep stoping a few miles ahead of the storm so it could catch up with us..

Truly incredible...

The storm turned into the MOST frequent lightning storms i have ever witnessed...with probally anvil crawlers and CG,CC EVERY 3-6 PER SECOND

.....THIS POST CANOT DESCRIBE HOW AWSOME THIS STORM WAS...

and thanks to Paul,S and team for a truly memorable event....

have vids of the incredible scary situation will upload at some point
