I can't believe I'm watching this either now. Was about to go to sleep :D I've eaten there 3 times in the last 2 years but the standard steaks (a mere 26oz) were almost too much for me :D

If the models are anything to go by, we might be up in this area again Saturday..

Whoever it is must be on soon.

Have ended up getting some food together after watching this like a demented troll for hours, so at least I'm not too jealous now...Just want to know who the heck it is attempting it.

What are they up to with that doll??? It's a family restaurant!!!!!

well I've just mentioned on my facebook that I'm watching some guy and an inflatable doll attempt a 72 oz steak..... in texas... on the internet... at 3:35am. There's no way to hide my shame now.. :D

Also, I was up watching a rerun of the May 3rd Outbreak chase on ChaserTV which only finished a little while ago

I can't believe that I'm sitting here, eating scrambled egg and watching someone eating 72oz of prime Texan beef.

Sigh, 1 week left then tornadoes, supercells, hail (maybe eh Paul), shelf clouds, bloody big spiders!, Big Texan, Cow Camp, etc.............. :D

I have been working all day too, but still think I am a fruitcake for even starting on this ridiculous caper, but I am far too stubborn not to see it through now.

Thank Gawd for that.

It seems they are being accosted by the travelling Wilbury's.

(& YES...I am very jealous of your trip, have a great time)

Did he give up at 42oz?

He still has over 20 mins left!!!! :D

Thanks for that. (You have no idea how much I have been looking forward to this. Keep imagining all the things that could go wrong, miss the flight, not let in by Immigration, swine flu.........)

Don't mention the swine flu.... My girlfriend wouldn't let me go if she had any say, she is so worried due to the hysteria. Nothing will stop me from making my flight though

who was it doing the challenge?

I couldn't really tell. The picture wasn't quite good enough. I could recognise Pat, Tammy, Ian, Paul and I think Tom sat down though. I also see john, so I think that leaves Daniel (WiganWeather) as the competitor?

As far as I know, he gave up at 42oz, so a poor showing from the UK crew there. Hope you two are gonna have a bash? Will definitely tune in for that.

Anyway, that was FAR too much excitement for me, off to bed!

Take care all.

I wouldn't be caught dead attempting that :D I probably have the sotmach capacity, but I'd need to fast for a day or so to make room, and that is not something I think I could do.

I'm calling it a night also. 4:30am

Morning guys,

probably worth opening a DAY 9 discussion as soon as you get a chance to analyse tomorrows (Tues) potential. A big cap will be in place till late afternoon. But the signs are there around Wichita Falls.
