Noticeably cooler today compared to the past 5 days wehere we have hovered with maxes between 24 and 26 degrees, whereas today maxed out at 19 degrees. However, we had alot of sunshine and the wind has been mainly light, so in all honesty it still felt an extension of the past glorious 5 days..

Its looking a cold night, temps already close to 9 degrees, wouldn't be surprised if we get down to close to 3 degrees tonight, expecting one or two spots in sheltered spots close by to get closer to 2 degrees. Parts of Highland Scotland could easily get very close to 0 degrees, Altnaharra saw 1 degrees last night.

Some chilly nights ahead in sheltered north western parts I feel where skies stay clear.

Thats about to change though!

quite a lot of cumulus bubbled up around lunchtime and through the afternoon on what was a quite obvious sea breeze convergence line around lunch. Some of the cumulus was big enough to give just a few big spots of rain..
