This is the heaviest rain I have ever seen. Topped 100mm/hr with 8mm in 15 mins. Decent sized hail, several flashes of lightning and "sheet rain". Temperature has plummeted too.

Seems to have calmed down now. We have now had 2 inches of rain in 2 days. I don't think I had that in the whole of May!

Very dull, very wet and very chilly sums up this Sunday morning. Living room has dipped in temperature down to 17c which it hasn't done in ages now - looks like we'll need the gas fire on again!

Still, it's 'interesting' weatherwise after the last few weeks of dryness so long as we get other 'interesting' weather pretty soon i.e. 30c+, hot/humid thunderstorms, etc. Cold in summer gets boring quickly as we've got countless other months of the year for that!

Now 13.3c after a low of 12.2c. Steady rain and judging by radar - it's gonna keep going all day.

Light to moderate rain set in during the early hours and has continued up to observation. Further light to moderate rain continued until mid afternoon when it eventually died out, but staying cloudy and windy and very much on the cool side. Maximum temperature 11.7c. Maximum wind gust 32mph E.

Calm with sunny spells and TCu developing after very heavy rain/thunder overnight which gave 20mm of rain - the most here in one go since 10 February! The temperature had been rising slowly at 12.0c but has dropped back to 11.8c at present with humidity 76% & a gentle wind.

Overcast with a few spots of rain from time to time and thunder audible to the south and south east. Temp' is 9.1c with a 19 mph NE wind. Yesterday's max' of 10.4c was the coldest June day ( 0900-0900 ) since 1999.

24 hour rainfall to 0900 today, 10.6mm, all of which fell between 0900 and 1330 yesterday.

It can't be worse in summer to be honest, the coldest summer weekend in over 10 years in parts of the west, the rain is still really heavy here and unbelievably the temperature is only 8C and the temp is slowly dropping too, i`m extremely surprised at the lack of comments on weather forums or lack of special threads opened for this so i did it myself.
