Aj, I've just witnessed rapid rotation from the cell, I'm not joking. At first I thought it was just rising scud but I definately saw a twisting lowered cloud moving left to right. Unbelievable!

Can you give me approx location....I wanna jump in my van and take a look...

cheers

AJ

Storm directly over head though rain has eased up, lightning appears to be IC as i havent spotted any forks yet.

Hey lynxus do you think its worth taking a drive, or sit tight i am in bishops cleeve?

Not sure, id probably head a little south and east.

It doesnt appear to be doing much thunder at the moment. Gone very still

EDIT- scratch that,, Lightning.

NW of Birmingham, Wolvehampton perhaps, though I think it has stopped now. Definate rotation there, no doubt about it. It wasn't a funnel but you could see it was trying get organised. Still, that was amazing.

That cell is holding strength and heading towards Cheslyn hay, if the radar is accurate geographically....I might just take a look....thanks!

Was an absolute beauty. Apparently Sheffield parkway was closed by the hail for a short while. Can't remember that ever happening before..

Even the rain in the channel is bending almost perfectly around the SE coastline! Greens/yellows to sea, mere blue if anything in land!

Now - I am sorry - that is the definition of a SHIELD! lol

Humm, looking at teh sat image, we could be in for some more if the band on the west side of the severn keeps moving this way.

Its growing at a fast rate. so fingers crossed it hits this *now* very moist air and builds

Yup blocked drains flood Heeley Bridge in Sheffield while the really heavy rain is over the city centre. Nothing much happening here odd flash of lightning and light to more moderate rain

I was already out of the no storm club. 2nd weak T storm of the year. Very heavy rain over centre of sheffield so Western parks rainfall is going much higher than what I recorded by a large amount I suspect.
