A mostly cloudy and bright day today with all manner of cloud types moving from West-East, just a few drops of rain from the thicker clouds. There has been some sunny spells, of which one is happening now as the Stratocumulus/Altocumulus has cleared for a while so the temperature has risen to 17.5c after being below 17c for a while. Today's maximum so far is 17.8c, humidity is 58% and the Westerly breeze is quite fresh.

Yes i agree it is boring, i would infact go further and say it's been a pretty boring summer so far if you ask me with nothing much extreme apart from some ground frost which you don't want to see in June, not much in the future exciting weatherwise either.

After a generally cloudy but bright afternoon the sun has been trying its best to make itself seen & as a result in a sunny period around half an hour ago the temperature rose to todays maximum of 20C (68F). Now patchy cloud with the odd sunny spell & 19C (66F).

A dissapointingly cloudy day with the sun never really making an appearance, with the cool gusty breeze and temps of 16 degrees, in overview a poor summers day.

However, apart from a very short shower at around 7pm it did manage to stay dry which surprised me as I was expecting a few showers in the afternoon.

Tomorrow is looking a bit brighter but the sun will probably increase the chances of some heavy showers, it is looking another coold day.. mm this weather is not inspiring me and the weekend is fast going down the pan as a cloudy lacklustre affair for us here in Cumbria, will be nice to see the high pressure fully in charge by next week.
