Well im happy to say the cold front finaly arrived with heavy drizzly rain with really cleared the air and feels so much fresher :) better night sleep tonight. Iv had a storm overhead during this heatwave so at least it ended with a bang here.

The Met Office has made a spectacular mistake! The weather front is far behind the earlier predictions!

It was supposed to be raining here now and clearing by late morning. Instead of that the rain is still in Wales and won't be here for a few hours yet.

Anybody from the Birmingham area here? Are the showers I can see on the radr thundery?

Heavy rain here and had a couple a flashes of lightning, one very close indeed. Finally a storm, sort of. Looking at the radar it seems to be the French storm, pepping up again.

Excellent! I wonder whether those showers/storms can make it up to Manchester ahead of the cold front...

I think I'd emphasise the 'sort of' :)

If it is pepping up, as usual it won't be us who get's the benefit, will it!

Yes...that front is still over Wales...in all honesty I challenge anyone to spot the difference between where it is now and where it was 12 hours ago :)
