Within the next month we are likely to be upgrading to a new version of the forum software, which will add a host of new features, but we need your help to make that run as quickly and smoothly as possible.

The reason for this is that part of the upgrade includes a fairly major change to the pm system, which involves all of the old pms currently stored here having to be converted by the system to the new version. So, to stop this from taking an extremely long time, please can you check your inboxes and remove any old messages you don't want to keep - like a pm spring clean!!

Cheers

Paul

Didn't know I had so many PMs - 63! All gone now, looking forward to the upgrade. Any idea of when it is going to happen Paul?

Thanks to everyone who's done this so far - please keep the tidy up going, it'll make the change to the new software go much more smoothly.

To answer the question as to when, no set date yet, we're waiting for them to release an update to fix some bugs (we never tend to install the initial final releases of things as they can still have one or two issues) and we're also working on customising it for the site. I'd imagine it'll be this month or early next though.

All gone, but you may have to ask AFT to stop PM'ing me asking if I would like to go out for a drink. 12 a day on average!

Done, deleted, zilch, no more PMs in my inbox or sent items. Hope the transition goes well, Paul. :winky:

Something I need to do on my own forum as well, but it could take all weekend and I'm off to Stratford-Upon-Avon for much of this Saturday so... ARRGHH!!
