it was a sunny morning but cloud has filled in since then-a sheet of shallow Cu and Sc.

as to the rainfall totals-yes the forecast team are watching it closely. At the moment its on the border line of issuing so as duty bod I'm holding fire at the moment.

Don't panic, Jo...It's nothing to what I'm going to get next week; waving occlusions all week? :D

I don't mind rain, i just hate (as my nan used to say) the wet rain lol. If it's going to rain then rain, but don't give me this half hearted attempt lol

Jo,

Well, from tomorrow onwards, you should see something a tad better. I think that your present drizzle, smirr, grot (s**te?) will all converge on poor old Scotty for Sunday and Monday. But, just now, it's the best day for about a week: the sun is out, the wind's not blowing, it's 15C - and I'm cooking my dinner!

The rainfall in the west seem sto be approaching more slowly than was indicated in the Met' Office forecasts this morning. The inference was that south Wales would be thoroughly wet by now yet the rain has barely reached Fishguard.

I'm wondering if this means it may linger longer into Sunday morning than was first thought, or is it going to pick up pace as the evening approaches?

Cloudy and dry here so far today, just one or two brighter intervals, and a light S breeze.

A clear start has quickly given way to mostly cloudy conditions with bright spells. A rather cool start as well with a min of 9.9C, the lowest since 12th June. The maximum temperature earlier was 19.9C so not too bad, but its giving the monthly mean a hammering after that warm start.

Currently 19.3C with 68% humidity.
