Some astonishingly heavy rain last night. I say astonishingly heavy because it woke me up, and that takes some doing. Only amounted to 7.4mm so far today though.

interesting drive to work in Oxfordshire at 05:30 this morning checked my weather station before I left it showed no wind on my journey there was patchy mist at tree top hight clearer underneath but almost thick enough to obscure the treetops by 06:15 wind was blowing quite hard and was dispersing the mist into low cloud.

I've been awake for about 7 hours and it's been dry for almost 6 of those with some warm sunshine, however the wet hour was a VERY wet one with torrnetial rain between 07.15-08.15 which gave 15mm. A few light showers since with the current temperature at 18.2c, humidity 79% and a fresh SSW breeze.
