Low last night was 15.1c, currently sunny and 15.8c. Looking like cloud will build during the morning maybe giving the odd bit of rain by the afternoon.

Blue skies with some high altitude whispy cloud. Much fresher with an overnight low of 14.6c. It's now 15.2c. Winds are light for a change!

Into that half of the year now where the sun (when out) is more often than not at blinding eye level. The selective blind shutting in the office has begun in earnest where we try to let as much light in as possible without being blinded - not always easy!

We've got clear skies and warm sunshine here at the moment, but very clear on the horizon is the cold front which will make things cool and cloudy later. Light northerly breeze is just taking the edge off the temperature, after yesterday's southerly wind. 18.0c.

A nice start to the day for once, sunny spells and not a drop a rain in sight...

Clouds are likely to bubble up during the day, but what a difference compared to recent days and weeks.

Looking forward to the next three days, I am relishing the prospects of clear skies and great visibility in the west lakes - Ennerdale followed by lovely cool nights, some fantastic photo opportunities abound - patience is a real virtue in the lake district, some great weather is on the way, the hills and seascapes will look a treat..

A stunning day of hardly a cloud in the sky - can't remember that last time I saw skies like this (well except first thing in the morning before cloud rolls in).

19.3c the high so far - which is actually a shade higher than this time yesterday. No surprise with all the cloud yesterday.

The Cold Front must be trying to be the slowest to clear ever as its cloud is still overhanging this area while the sky is mostly blue to the N/NW - as it has been since dawn. Due to how it got held up there was some sharp showery rain between 07.00-08.30 which delayed the start of the fine spell.

Hazy sunny spells, 17.9c, 73% humidity.
