What's going on- it's dull and damp here in Lancaster, yet in Manchester and Leeds, according to the webcam, it looks quite sunny (and potentially showery).

An odd day here as the weather has been affected all day by the low to the south but with nothing interesting from it.

Foggy then cloudy with the sun just sitting there rather like a lightbulb. A few light showers during the afternoon.

A muggy feeling 11c max.

I agree- even the way Lancaster had a dull start, the skies and murk cleared around lunchtime and it became sunny- just like a late spring or summer day, but with lower temperatures.
