Cold spell continues here. 4th day in a row with thick freezing fog. Hasn't lifted. I wonder if it will be a really cold spell next midweek or this is as good as it gets?! Have lost count of the number of days with frost - wish I had kept an accurate record. It's been A LOT.

Just had a 5 min shower - would class as 90% rain 10% WINTRYNESS (not snow or even sleet but perhaps some soft haol or pellets) - or is that wishful thinking from me ?

Today started bright and sunny here before a wintry shower appeared. Then, sunny spells and light showers until early afternoon, when it clouded-up with rain on and off, possibly some wintryness but haven't been able to pay full attention! Now fully overcast and heading rapidly towards twilight.

what it got down to -4c here last night and there was no frost the night before nor a cold day like today...... and actually places in the highlands got near -9c last night....

Nice! I was up on the moors at whitelee earlier (pics to come later) and could see the fog over Glasgow/Prestwick and Ayr etc!
