Snow has turned to rain here and the dusting of snow has melted kind of disappointed was expecting a bit more conditions were perfect last night but the showers didn't last long enough. Temps now 4c it might snow again tonight and tommorow but not expecting anything special.

We have a small shower just now too, and although there are still some snowflakes, it appears to be turning more to rain. emperatures have risen to +1'C

Clouding over now and the wind has started to pick up..we have hail falling. I think the showers are going to rattle in fairly soon amd frequently as their seems to be a line out west heading straight this way

Exact same here, if the showers continue on their current track we will get an absolute pasting <_<

It made it, touch and go as it missed Huntly.. started fairly lightly and now great big thick flakes

doesn't look to be on for too long, but never mind, lucky to have caught an intense section of it methinks <_<

Still a slushy covering here on the grass and pavements but melted a lot in the sun (trust the sun to shine on a snow day <_< ). Would say it was about an inch just after the snow at 9.30. Getting dark here now, hoping for more.

And stuart316, very cheeky! :drunk: How deep is the snow in Coylton?

ive been watching your thread, as i should be getting the showers/bands on the nw wind that you are experiencing, is that mention of a dry air streak significant? what does it mean for the conditions? ive also noticed the western isles warming to + 4 or +5

Are you relying on the 'window test,' TJ? Sometimes, graupel can make raindrop-shaped thingies on the window - so can drips from the roof...Or, am I straw-clutching again! <_<

Yeah, Prestwick has warmed up to 4c - that will cool down once the clouds roll in, right?

Please.

The dewpoint is still at 0c though so when the showers move in the temperature should drop. Currently 1c Dew 0c here with a few light graupel/hail showers :)

Not to mention it's the middle of the afternoon and therefore the warmest part of the day! Temps should stop dropping again universally come 3pm :)

Light sleet/rain here now. I just hope it doesn't damage the snow cover to much otherwise it will take a while for any snow that falls later to settle. I'm away out in protest!
