snow has stoped for now. it seems to be missing me now slightly to our north although i am very happy i finaly have something worthy of a photo and maybe the odd snowball eh

Yeah, can't grumble. Temperature is -0.5C so no probs with temp it's just lack of precipitation really. But yes, at 8msl, I don't think many need to worry unless you are in a town or on the coast.

im 7 miles out of bath and its been snowing half hr non stop started with a short sleet shower now its completely white and still snowing seems harder type in BA2 8DU in the radar and see what i mean

As it happens, I just drove from plymouth to ivybridge and back.

Temp was 3.5 in plymouth, dropped to -1oc in ivybridge, and then back to 2.5 oc when i returned.

A difference of around 4oc, suprised me actually.

To warm for snow in plymouth at the moment.

Yeah, looking at the satellite images it does seem like there is a band of cloud due west of here, out over the Atlantic, south of Ireland. Here's hoping.

the showers are being created by the Bristol channel, this streams showrs into a band and sends them further in land than a normal costal regoion, all to do with high water temps water tempeture. The thames streamer happens often when the wind is in an easterly direction and can produce some decent amounts.

More detail on this you will have to ask the experts on here.

Still a fairly clear sky here in North Bristol. Had another look at radar and it really looks like they're heading to the south of the fair city

Pretty heavy frost though - roads and cars are white.

Maybe i'll have a surprise and wake up to a covering.

So we have the Thames Streamer, the Wash Streamer, the Cheshire Gap Streamer and tonight its the turn of the mighty Bristol Channel Streamer.

Funny the temp here is a barmy 2.1c, hence why it's mostly sleet.
