I know this may sound a bit silly. But has anyone tried to build a snowman recently, and like me, found it's the wrong

kind of snow? The stuff we've just had doesn't want to stick together :)

yep!! powder snow aint no good for snowmen or snowballs either!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I built mine last night while it was still falling, good job as it had turned to powder this morning.

Yeah that's exactly what I mean - it seems to be more powdery than usual.

I'm not too concerned as long as it's cold and white :D

Yeah it did to mine too. it was a nightmare to get off this-morning. My wipers were frozen to the windscreen as well

Not huge flakes, but it's currently chucking it down here, as well - adding to the few centimetres we had accumulating here since lunchtime :whistling:

Incidentally, my good lady and I went out with our cameras this afternoon - between the showers and she captured some images from the local park you might find interesting: http://dispics.fpic.co.uk/c1794170.html

I thought 10123's radar images looked quite promising for us max.

I doubt it mate, but the 5cm won't be melting anytime soon with the cold temps :whistling:

It looks like Fotopic might be having connection issues - the images are loading, but painfully slowly :whistling:

I think I'll go to bed at 1AM, would have gone earlier if it wasn't for the shower activity.

The radar doesn't look great but I though that earlier and these showers pop up over land out of nowhere, looking at the Irish sea on the radar isn't much help with them forming over land.

Whoa, look at rain today and see how the shower (Over Leeds) turned from Heavy to nothing at all on the radar. I was very lucky to catch that shower.

Yeah, I know the feeling, I've just had a 'blink and you'll miss it' shower
