Obviously put your own postcode in http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

Got it on the N/W and it should be knocking any minute, just being the eternal pesimist (must be wrong spelling doh)

So it is travelling up the Estuary, all might not be lost Smurf!

And Sods law next stop after Bas Vegas would be Thurrock! :):)

I'm still clutching at the little straw that is a blob on the radar that joined in off the Clacton seafront to pay me a visit. Wonder if the trains will be running in the morning?

In fact that area in the North Sea is very strange; if you look at the IR Sat loop, it has been almost totally stationary for hours. Everything around it moves, but it stays more or less still. Just like a totally slack area of water in between eddies in a stream.

The energy levels in that area of precipitation have increased in the last 2 hours too.

Wonder what it will do, if anything?

Snow stopped in South Woodham. There I was thinking this streamer could take us over 2 inches!

I told you before earlier that you need to get a specialist team in to monitor why it's the most snowless, stormless and eventless place in the UK.

Lived in Celeborn street for 15 years and had practically nothing, sat and watched the radar for years watching snow fizzle out or turn to sleet over that hell hole.

Definitely wants a beast south-easter to get a pasting ;)

I actually reckon you could do quite well from this cold spell - typical since I moved Jan 09.

Good luck to woodham. . . and Asda

Still no snow despite the radar showing so.....that big blob is heading my way too! yahoo.gif at last!lol...patience is the key.

Good luck to you, hardcj

I added some detail to that radar shot you posted just now, to show the Shoebury snow shield is working perfectly tonight...

Edit: I meant to add that the above was said through gritted teeth. Except of course Essex County Council has virtually no grit left...

Thanks for that. Very funny and very true. Year and a bit ago in Borehamwood got about 3 inches of snow... in October!!!

BTW must have left the thread before reading your earlier comment. Sorry about that!

Hi

I am in Woolwich, the past few weeks has been fantastic reading on here.

I've been following this streamer all evening but looks like ill be missing out!

hello and welcome to NW from a fellow woolwich resident. well plumstead really. yes it does look like we will miss this lot, have always feared we are too north and west for it to have reached us.

I must be living in a bubble - no snow for me still. I'm gonna pop out and get some petrol at Tesco and see what it's like because I don't believe anyone haha
