Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Currently in Central London driving trains, but there are no trains so in a crew room doing FA! Whilst I want to see good snow in Medway and down the Valley, if that track keeps on going that's ging to hit head on and take the whole stream It has potential for several hours worth. However I don't want a harrowing drive home down the A2/M2 as I approach The Medway!

Oh gwan, SNOW! I can take it like a man!

can you make sure my 0717 from Charing X to woolwich aresnal is on time mate

i still think its track is too far south of the A2/M2 for it to give anything tonight :fool:

if we can get in the centre of the band and the wind direction continues the same we could be under this for quite a length of time. However i am not sure we will be in the centre. However lets all sit tight and hope. whistling.gif

Well our local one for Suffolk (which isn't so far away from South Norfolk) was completely zilch. Julie Rein-whatever: Friday and over the w/e, snow showers confined to the odd shower on the east coast before they warm slightly on Monday, but less than a minute ago News 24, snow over a wide area all over Norfolk, Suffolk as far as Bedfordshire. This is the same Corporation fool.gif!

What is going on?

Two things to remember. Julie Reinger is; A not a meteorologist just a forecaster (with no previous experience in weather) and B a outside company provide the weather forecasts and data for Look East and Eastern radio stations.

Latest local South East PPN prediction, seems to internate that that streamer is going to make Central Northern Kent and keep on for many hours perhaps maybe 6!!

Could be pretty major for us in the next few hours!

Really hope this snow here in Felixstowe, South Suffolk makes it further south for you guys!!

Streamer yesterday, then again today!! Thank you north sea and everyone posting about the potential convection!!

Just measured on my garden table (least melt) from snow over the last few days and reads 23cm (9 inches), never seen anything like it!!

I saw the same forecast by Julie Reinger - particularly unimpressive for tonight at least.

Is it just me or does Rob M always ramp up snow in the SE? He couldn't stop mentioning us lot in the 10.35 BBC bulletin.

Always liked Rob!!!

James

Yes he's good. However, he did say the snow would be light but persistent.

If you get under the Jackpot zone this could easily drop a few Inches.

It is training NE-SW

I am right under the Southern end with everything to my North East, and the eastern side is still expanding out in the Blackwater Estuary.

Cant see how Medway and Maidstone will miss this one

If it continues to expand eastwards I might be OK, but it's a really close shave for my location.

Had a brief flurry in Reigate... not expecting too much more tonight...

Bizarrely Charlwood has recorded at 10pm the warmest temp of the day -0.4c - wonder what's going on there!

I'll bet she still gets her performance-related bonus though.

So who is right, the guy on News 24 or nice (but unqualified) Julie parroting the outside forecasting company, (whoever they are)? People might need to know.
