This was from Clear Starry Skies above, the snow is being blow forward by the approaching shower. The tell tale signs are the Orange sky to my North East. It's coming!

I give up for north west kent, it seems to have weakend on the western edge, and from gravesend being on the eastern edge of the shower we are now going to miss it from the western edge. Thats even if it makes it across the estuary it looks like its breaking up.wallbash.gif

Is snow still on the cards for East Kent tonight?

I'm not optimistic because of the wind direction it looks like it's going to be just west of here. :(

Am I right in thinking that Friday's big snow event is now due to happen on Sunday 10/01/10 ???

Any ideas how this will affect my region (Milton Keynes)

I have a visitor due from Ely this weekend and would rather postpone her visit if her journey could be difficult.

I know it's a bit early to say for sure but could some one (TEITS ?) give me a better idea what to expect please ?

Thanks in advance folks !

looks like the band of PPN is too far south to hit SE London. but i think its great that there is some places getting a top up :(

Medway looks in the line of the track and Maidstone might even be too

Absolutely thundering down here at the moment, very heavy indeed. Also just seen the BBC forecast for Sunday - I expect to see some more reds from the meto for Sunday!

Oi, Paul, you've pinched our bloody snow! :(

That had Shoebury written all over it and it has managed to skirt us to the north and west!! Nothing here whatsoever at the moment :drinks:

This is where the North Easterly is our friend, with the shower coming in from the Blackwater the NE Flow will steer it away from the Eastern Tip, you should still get the Eastern edge Peter!

Although it has not got here yet anyway LOL

Temp finally back below freezing here in Iwade for the first time in around 6 hours infact it's -0.3c. I am guessing the 850's are back down and approaching -10c again after flirting with -6's and -7's?

Had a few flurries here this evening after our deluge last night and this morning. Looking forward to the next 2 days and nights of convection; with cold uppers, stronger winds and lower day time temps its looking great here for Kent and the SE in general.

Is it just me or does Rob M always ramp up snow in the SE? He couldn't stop mentioning us lot in the 10.35 BBC bulletin.

Always liked Rob!!!

James

Started to lightly snow near southend airport but from looking at the radar the heaviest stuff has shifted from shoebury/east southend to rayleigh way!
