UK Outlook for Saturday 7 May 2011 to Saturday 21 May 2011:

Temperatures should range from around average for many eastern and northeastern areas, to above average towards the southwest, with this pattern aided by easterly winds, especially early on. Rainfall amounts look to be around average at most for many northern areas, but there is a signal for parts of central and eastern England to see increased amounts of rain compared to recent weeks, but with many places staying dry. Due to the showery nature of the rain, this will allow for average or above average sunshine amounts for many areas through early to mid May.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 3 May 2011 to Thursday 12 May 2011:

Continuing dry across many northern, central and eastern parts at first, with the best of the sunshine further west. Generally cloudier in the south, with outbreaks of showery rain, this gradually spreading up the western side of the country. Towards the end of the first week, a more unsettled theme looks set to become established across the country for a time, as this showery, possibly thundery rain extends northeastwards. Beyond this, a return to dry and more settled conditions looks fairly likely for many eastern areas, with any rain most probable in western parts. Winds will be fairly brisk at first, but any stronger winds should become more restricted to the west with time. Temperatures near average at first, but becoming rather warm in many areas later.
