Been partly cloudy today with temperature at 20.7C a bit cooler than yesterday, but still very warm this evening, in the last hour its gotten very dark and cloudy. Looks like the heavens are going to open up once again..hope tonight we get more than we did last night. I love these types of storms.

Hail shower this morning, very localised and under very unimpressive skies...little more than fair weather Cu but some of the hailstones larger than pea size! :unknw:

About 20 mins ago (over an hour after the hail), very loud presumed +ve clap of thunder over C London. That localised shower has moved off, now being encroached by another.

As I've said in another thread, a very bizarre day!

Needle funnel observed from M62 near Gilberdyke due North at 17:58 on 11 July 2011. Difficult to estimate distance but was visible for a couple of minutes under a line of stratocumulus with CBs behind. Was on motorway so could not stop. When I came off at the next juncrion, North Cave, a few minutes later the funnel was gone.
