Can only add to the congratulations on a great BBQ - Awesome Venue and Hosts that looked after all of us - Special Thanks to Ian (ANYWEATHER) Who cooked for what seemed like 24 hours solid just to keep Mr Cameron happy and fed :p:rofl:

The empty bottles today showed that we drank enough Alcohol to fill the North Sea, was also great to see so many new faces and the effort from the guys who have come from half the country away and still beat us South Easterners to the event (Thankyou M25)

See you all in March and then of course the main event in May and June

Yes, an excellent host Ian :)

Bit of a grey start this morning so I hope most folk - especially those who had traveled so very far to get here - waited a bit till the sun came out before leaving to see Evesham, the Vale and the Cotswolds at their best :nea:

So what's happening in Cardiff in March? because' I think I whimped out (sorry, I wasn't in my normal drinking mode last night - bad day!) and went home before that got mentioned?

Managed to get home in under 3 hours, after a stunning drive through the Cotswolds!

Thanks to Ian and his family for an awesome BBQ - had a wicked time! Thanks too to Jo for the lift, and thanks to Paul for letting me use the communal part of your mansion tent :)

Was great to see everyone, and I look forward to the next one :nea: or Cardiff in March :p

Yes Harry, that drive was superb - beautiul scenery!

From the moment I met you and Jo in picking me up in Upminster, I felt welcome. I had such a great time yesterday meeting all of you guys. Your enthusiasm for all things weather was infectious - I love it! As for all of the storm photos and footage - gorgeous.

Ian - your hospitality was first class and cannot be praised enough. Thank you for all the delicious food (and the bacon rolls this morning of course).

Jo - just adding my thanks too for the lift. "Storm" did a great job :D

Paul, how could you say such a thing?

Based on your 7 year cycle and La Nina predictions, we kick off in April.Does that suggest a no hope few days, I hope not?

Hi all,

Well, what can I add that hasn't already been said! Thank you again to Ian and his family for their brilliant hospitality and friendliness, we were made to feel very welcome and the food and drink supplies would have kept us going for days!!

Camping was great - thank you to those who helped me put my tent up, I would have been sleeping in the fresh air without them!

I was great to see familiar faces and meet new ones and catch up with everyone.

Finally made it home in 4 and a half hours but enjoyed the drive nonetheless - off to get some tea and lay on the settee and recover!!

See you all in March in Cardiff

Tammy

I can only echo everything that has been said so far.

I just want to say thanks to Ian and his family for hosting the bbq and putting on a superb weekend with loads of nice food and drink. It was great catching up with everyone and meeting a few more people for the 1st time.

I didn't get back home until 6ish. After dropping Tom off the last stretch home was tough when the tiredness really kicked in. Its been a wise move taking tomorow off work.

Got caught up in Traffic on way back around the Junction of the M5 joining the M6. But it was nothing compared to what you guys n gals got caught up in on the M25.

Believe it or not the the sun was also shining when we got back to Cumbria and no rain!! Shock!

I thought they'd be a catch with the tent when it was so easy to set up. BIt of a mission taking it down though but thanks to Jo for finally sorting it out.

Ian , It is hard to say something that has not already been said. Brilliant host, fantastic setting, a nice crowd of guests, lots of lovely food and gallons of beer. Your family and friends were so friendly and hospitable. You gave us a couple of flashes of lightning, a rumble of thunder and I got to see 4 meteorites, very briefly.

Thanks to Andy for driving, grateful because I am at work tomorrow. Jo I never managed to get one of your cakes. Ian tell your mum I will email the recipe for the Thai food. Nam.

Ian Pickering..... Legend! That was without a doubt the best BBQ I’ve ever been at. Well worth the trip from Cork and then some.

Was great to catch up with everyone again. Ian, tell your dad I’ll be back for some of that home brew that I had about 5 mins before I nearly fell in the BBQ. That was good stuff.

Special thanks to Nick for getting Paul, Ian and I there and back on the M25 car park. Cheers to Paul, Lou and the cutest kids I think I’ve ever met for making me feel at home.

Thanks to Trevor for the DVD of photos. Nice to have since I had bog all time to take pics of my own this year. Bugger cant find it now though. I’m sure its here somewhere.

Thanks to Tom for err being Tom.

What a fun BBQ!

Massive thanks to Ian and his family for hosting the event and for working so hard all day. It was great to talk storms with you Ian and horses with your Dad - what a dude he is! You have a lovely family.

Hello again to everyone I met - it was a pleasure, and great to not have a time limit put on storm talk - something subtly enforced from my crowd of mates at home! Sheltering under gazebos and cheering to distant thunder all added to the experience and it was great to hear so many exciting stories and see such beautiful footage.

Thanks again all.

And top marks for the curry – stunning.

Hey,Everyone, Thankyou sooooo much for the very kind comments and Im so delighted that everyone went home well watered and well fed with a smile on your faces! It was a real pleasure to be your host, youre such lovely people and its a shame it went so quickly, the garden seems very quiet and sad without you. :cray:

My Family and friends were very impressed with you guys and Girls, and even though the preperation took so long to put togeather it was more than well worth it, and the weather was in actual fact just perfect , a Rumble of Thunder some short very heavy rain a flash or two of lightning and some shooting stars, my prayers come true!! [A true Storm chase BBQ!]Thankyou too, for everyones contribution to the BBQ, the beautiful [HOMEMADE CAKES] the burgers, sausages, steaks and kebabs let alone ALL the booze you all kindly brought along and the great distance many of you traveled!

Finally, if anyone is passing by ,please call in youre more than welcome. I will see you good Folk soon ,Maybe in Cardiff.! Best Wishes to all Ian. :shok:

Scary? Maybe a little lol....

The road rage outbursts were funny, as was the "Socks on Fire" version of Kings of Leon!

Also not forgetting references to the "squiffy" clouds! You crack me up!:acute:

Hello to all - I've just joined the forum to say a big thank you to Ian and family for the superb food and marvelous hosting. Ian must hold the record for continuous hours of BBQ cooking! Really enjoyed meeting you all and hope to join you again in the future. Thank you to all who made the day and evening feel so warm, even though my feet got so cold and wet. Should have worn better shoes unknw.gif .cold.gif

Need to thank Jo for the very tasty cake - though feel guilty that I may have deprived somebody else by eating one... but anyway, it was scrummy good.gif

Thank you to Paul S too, for posting the invitation on UKww and for the weather he imported. clap.gif

Hope to get to any future meetings as I had a wonderful time on Saturday! Thanks to everyone for making this a lovely and very memorable occasion. biggrin.gif

Sounds like you all had a great time, makes me wish I made the effort. There's no excuse the distance some of you travelled.

Also gutted I missed out on Jo's cakes, you should sell them online, they are becoming famous. I'll have to get the video of Jo shouting at Dave up sometime, it's so funny!

Arron, have you got that video of the drunk kids on the golf cart weaving towards a storm? :winky:

Anyway just over 36 weeks to Tour 1 2011!

Hi Mark, was a shame you weren't there! I've gone through all my video and don't have it :( Only thing I can think of is I didn't press the record button right as I was laughing so much :drinks:

Hopefully going to upload each day of my chase vids this week to youtube for all to have a gander :)

hi Mark

You would have enjoyed the bbq. I think I got a minute of the golf cart but none of Jo shouting.
