not looking great re the showers in wales, seems like they are dying a death in the usual spot; near the welsh border. oh well, at least there have been some amazing cloudscapes today across the board, and some heavy rain to go with it. high pressure to contend with for the time being :whistling:

Thers some pretty large TCU to the SE of here growing into the now dead old storm.

An unusual set-up afterall, wind is back to NW and showers are moving NW to SE.

Im going to stick my neck out, N lincs, Humberside area (sprunehorpe area) may get that stuff south of us in S/SE parts of lincolnshire now.

Its as if there is to main areas of interest.

Lincolnshire thunderstorm heading northwards, and the home counties (around the london area) the 2 zones are moving anticlockwise, the stuff near south yorkshire now seems to have reached its southern most point, before it pivots back Northwards.

Looks like it exploded around Peterborough/Rutland around 40 mins ago. Can anyone confirm this? The radar showed loads of lightning strikes around that area and there was torrential rain in it too.

A few loud rumbles in the distance but that was all.

My stomach is making louder rumbles after a chicken tikka massala.

It seems we're just on the edge now... moving extremely slowly.. moderate rain. On the radar it is moving mainly south but very slightly east. Getting heavier :whistling:

Very heavy rain now :) On the radar this shower looks one of the more intense but I wonder if it'll get electrified?

I have a HD camcorder too, a Samsung R10. As you would imagine I'm itching to try it out filming a storm!
