Nasty storm with strong rotation just SE of Dallas currently too, wouldn't be suprised if it drops soon.

EDIT ... tornado on the ground ...

Just been watching Wes Carter's feed and I am pretty sure a tornado crossed the road in front of him, rain-wrapped. Adair and Parker may have one on the ground at the mo too but hard to tell with the rain.

Certainly looked like a wedge on Brett Adairs stream

Was also watching that and I was 100% it was a very wide Wedge Tornado probably 1/2 Mile Wide. The radar at the time had a Classic Hook Echo.

Tornado on Ric Burney's feed right now.

EDIT: How often do feeds seem to go down right at the critical moment? Is it just me or does it seem to happen a lot? It's happened at least twice tonight and once a couple of nights ago on Andy Gabrielson's feed. The law of Murphy is alive and well it seems......

Listening to the audio on Brett Adair's stream and he is becoming increasingly despondent about the chances of seeing a good tornado today/this evening. He reckons that there is too little rotation on the storms (slowtation!) and they have moved too fast. Things have not panned out as expected.

I remember Paul saying something earlier about the LLJ kicking in after mignight was it? Is this what Brett is on about or does he just need to be patient?

Whoever said Tyler earlier as a base: good call

WARM-SECTOR ENVIRONMENT WILL REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR TORNADIC SUPERCELLS. IN FACT...PRE-STORM LOW-LEVEL SHEAR PROFILES ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME VERY FAVORABLE FOR BOTH SIGNIFICANT/DESTRUCTIVE TORNADOES AND WIND DAMAGE DURING NEXT 3-4 HOURS AS LLJ STRENGTHENS JUST ABOVE SFC...SUBSTANTIALLY BOOSTING LOW-LEVEL SHEAR AND SRH. LARGE/DESTRUCTIVE HAIL ALSO IS LIKELY FROM INDIVIDUAL SUPERCELLS.

This Outbreak has not even got going yet, the really bad destructuve Tornadoes are expected after dark.

Btw Memphis just took a direct hit from Tornadic circulation and has about 4 Supercells lined up to hit the area, also a possible Tornado just passed within 5 miles of Vilonia which got hit last night.

Going to hit the sack but I'd expect 1 or 2 Significant Long Tracked Tornadoes to have been reported by morning in the Uk!

Those tornado reports are mounting up with 35 on SPC as I type, fortunately looks like there haven't been any fatalities as far as I can see. There is a bit of news on tornadoes that struck Edom and Mabank in east central Texas, the usual mobiles turned over with people inside hurt:

It's all about clearing the current activity today. I was a bit surprised by last night's relatively low numbers (relative to the predicted count) and it goes to show that although you can get all the potential parameters in place, sometimes the storms don't quite turn enough. A few of the cells had incredible 100kn+ gate to gate vectors but the rotaton didn't seem to want to tighten enough in many cases to get a tornado on the ground. In hindsight the cells that developed SE of DFW were probably not quite riding the boundary and so didn't benefit from the extra directional shear present there.

So, on to this evening and another potential outbreak for TN/AL area.
