Heard some loud crashes of thunder around 4am (8th rumbles) with the rain lashing at the windows. This morning misty and has been like that since i got up at 7am today 10.2°C

A whole 10°C warmer where you are as its only 11°C here on the NE coast, although it is sunny the surface winds are coming straight off the 'cold' north sea (Nor'Easterly), I suspect if this keeps up and gains any strength the low level cloud and mist will start rolling in, just hoping the strength of the sun holds this at bay I can here the fog horn as i type so its obviously not far off the coast line.

15.6C at my AWS in Cleadon (thus approximately 14.6 when accounting for the slight sun trap in my parents' back garden)- nonetheless significantly warmer than South Shields just two miles away! Hazy sunshine here, following a misty night with a minimum of 7.0C.

I note that Norwich Airport is registering a remarkable 21C.
