Can see your storm on the radar, some nice precip going on in there.

no rain as of yet, but this storm has potential - lets hope it continues its current path - right over head (with any luck) :good:

Convection exploding to the North East of Cardiff in association with the cells developing on radar. It's incredible, it's a development within 10-15 minutes and looks to be building as it moves off to the East.

I can see it clearly from here - looks to be more towards Abergavenny way

If they can hang around until the light fades could be a decent light show.

Fingers crossed eh. If there is a decent light show, I'm in a great place, just not for anything overhead.

So not fair I would like some stormy/thunder/lightning weather aswell :(

Been a very hot day here with a high of 26c, dp has stayed around the 7c point. Current temp is 25c.

Is there any chance we could have just a tiny little bit of stormy weather? :D

looks like close but no cigar for me, and other members to the NW of Brum.....The northern flank of those welsh cells are weakening, as they enter an area of markedly weaker convective potential and lift, even added ascent from the frontal boundary probably won't save them...I'd love to be wrong though...To the south of Brum, I'd say you're quids in, to the north? now's the time to start praying!.......nice cloudscapes though, I have an encroaching anvil thats spreads across the entire western skyline

The cell to the North East of Cardiff has just exploded even further. It's moving away but growing as it does so. True anvil shape to it now, with mammatus forming on the back edge. The anvil I saw to my S/SW earlier on looks much weaker than it did.

EDIT: Two photos, taken a few minutes apart, just to show the size of this one.

Although the Sun is being a help in keeping the heating going for the Welsh border cells, its also a hinderence as now is the time of day air-pollution & pollen is at its highest. Even with the aviator glasses on I can't see a thing through all the murk obscuring the view. Somewhat frustrating as I know there's a good cloudscape behind all of that. Hopefully as the inflow gets nearer the air will get more purified, or at least there'll be something to show for itself.

Sat watching a cell to the south which built up but seemed to just sit there. Confident it was going to miss, I light the BBQ. In the space of 20 minutes a cell developed to the North out of blue clear skies and is giving frequent strikes 4-5 a minute. Forked lightning observed. Must be the same cell Snow Raven is observing. Going back out to have another look.
